"Stuckness" could be from:

  • Adhesions (tissues sticking together where they shouldn't)
  • Scar tissue
  • Decreased circulation
  • Emotions and memories held in the body
  • Arthritis
  • Excess tone (tension)
  • Spasms
  • Guarding, or pain

Strategies to add in:

  1. More time (waiting patiently!)
  2. More "connections" through the area (in front and behind, to right and left, diagonal lines through)
  3. Direct contact (Still Touch, for example) in area of concern
  4. Leave the area of "stuckness" and give attention to other areas of body. (Using "Connecting the Dots" with Still Touch and/or Stroking, or any other techniques you know.) Then return to the area of "concern" and see what's changed as a result of helping things shift in other areas!
